The Apothecary is Open!
From the field to the shelf, Verdant Way has opened an online apothecary specializing in herbal wildcrafting and research.

A cool breeze meets me on the trail in the early evening, rustling the oak leaves and hanging grape vines that line its edges. I close my eyes for a moment to enjoy it, then resume my search for treasure—signs of my medicinal pharmacopeia. This evening I’ll gather fresh leaves for tea and observe new specimens for my research—another phase in the unending curiosity of the forest.
It’s hard to believe that six months ago, I was staring at a computer in a lonely third-floor office with plastic plants tacked to the walls. As I realized my state corporate job wasn’t going to work out, I had to dig deep and realign with what I actually needed. Otherwise, I’d be spending the rest of my days somewhere I didn’t belong.
In my spare moments, I returned to my fascination with herbs. Botanists and foragers understand how endlessly rewarding it is to treasure-hunt in the full sensory world of herbalism. I began rebuilding my pharmacopeia—not just from the medicine I’d been taught, but from the medicine I could see. I started hunting... plants.
I was seeing living herbs everywhere—then walking into stores to find tired, lifeless versions of them on shelves. I was already cataloging local plants, but I wanted to work with them, not just study them. And I believed I could do better than what I saw in bottles.

So I started crafting: tinctures, glycerites, teas, bath soaks. Every time I meet a new herb, I ask what it wants to become—and I make a recipe to match. Combining ancient knowledge with modern data, the apothecary is beginning to take shape.
Verdant Way Products Are:
- Locally grown (wild first, then cultivated)
- Vegan, plant-only—no animal byproducts
- Sustainably and restoratively harvested
- Simple, crude extracts that can be combined
- Made with vegetable glycerin, alcohol, vinegar, distilled water, and natural oils
